Flying in Time

Do you wake up too early when you know you have a morning flight?

A week ago, I flew JetBlue to Portland. My flight was at 6 AM. I woke up at 1:00 AM. With three alarms to wake me, my internal clock wouldn’t let me sleep.

This morning, I woke up at 3:00. You’e think this was an improvement, but my flight isn’t until 10:00.

The irony? With hundreds of trips, I have not once missed a flight.

What do you do when you’re to tired to write and can’t sleep?

  1. I think the question is what time are you going to bed? My teen goes to bed after 10 and then I get the couch and TV and watch news and late nite talk shows. I average 6 hrs a nite and 8 on weekends. I even take 50 mg of Benadryl to knock me out.

Been years since I was on a flight. When I came out here from NJ in 1985 I took a People’s Express flight – you paid cash on the plane and it was three hrs late, so I got in at LAX at midnite.
